The SUNY Ulster Macdonald DeWitt Library recognizes the importance of the privacy of our library patrons’ information.  Therefore, in 2008, the library adopted the SUNY libraries’ best practice of patron scrubbing, which removes the links between active patrons and their completed loans in the library management system. This means that once the patron scrubbing process is completed, a patron’s information on completed loans is no longer available.  However, this process retains the statistical loan data without being attached to specific patrons. The process of patron scrubbing is run weekly.
